이것은 바토리 여사를 태우고 대서양을 횡단하는 고요한 유람선이었다. 그디니아에서 뉴욕까지의 잊을 수 없는 여행에 대한 약속은 그들의 삶의 모험에 참여하기를 원했던 가장 유명한 페르소나들을 배의 갑판으로 끌어들였다. 아무도 베스트셀러 범죄 소설에서 직접 가져온 장면들이 이 전설적인 대서양 횡단 선박에서 곧 펼쳐질 것이라고는 생각하지 않았다. 대담하게도 폴리카 백작부인의 값진 보석을 훔친 사건은 승객과 승무원 모두를 동요시켰다. 하지만 가장 충격적인 사실은 도둑이 그들 사이에 숨겨져 있다는 사실을 부인할 수 없는 사실이다.

MS 배토리(MS Batory)는 혁신적인 방법으로 3차원 게임 보드를 사용하는 추론 게임이다. 플레이어들은 탐정 역할을 하며, 그들의 임무는 가능한 한 빨리 도둑을 식별하는 것이 될 것입니다. 13명의 용의자 중 각각의 캐릭터는 성별, 나이, 역할 등 독특한 특징을 가지고 있다. 선수들은 서로 질문을 할 것이고, 그 질문을 바탕으로 용의자들의 무죄를 결정할 수 있을 것입니다. 게임 시작 시, 캐릭터를 나타내는 카드 중 하나를 무작위로 선택하여 한쪽에 둡니다. 이 캐릭터는 도둑입니다. 나머지 카드는 형사들끼리 나눠줄 예정이다.

플레이어의 라운드는 두 단계로 구성된다.

1. 이동 단계

플레이어들은 MS 바토리의 갑판 주변에서 캐릭터를 움직입니다. 그들은 3개의 분리된 갑판에 위치한 수십 개의 방으로 구성된 3차원 배를 마음대로 이용할 수 있다. 이 단계에서 플레이어는 캐릭터를 이동하고 다른 작업을 수행합니다. 예를 들어 "승무원을 만나보세요" 또는 "전망대로 가세요. 이러한 작업을 수행하면 나중에 조사 단계에서 사용되는 질문 카드를 얻게 됩니다. 현재 작업이 최대한 많이 완료되도록 배 안에서 캐릭터를 이동시켜야 합니다. 그동안 수사 단계에서 질문을 해야 할 때 캐릭터의 배치로 만들어진 배치가 방해가 되거나 도움이 될 수 있다는 점을 기억해야 한다.

2. 조사 단계

운동 단계에서 선수들은 물음표를 얻었다. 각 카드에는 나이, 성별, 역할, 숫자, 방 또는 데크의 특성이 하나씩 포함되어 있습니다. 이 카드를 사용하여 플레이어는 하나의 질문을 만들어 다른 탐정에게 묻는다. 이 질문은 어떤 종류의 것이든 가능하지만 플레이어가 자유롭게 사용할 수 있는 물음표에 기반해야 한다.

예를 들어, 카드를 소지하고 있을 때: "젠더", "덱", 플레이어는 다른 형사에게 "을 요청할 수 있습니다.당신의 캐릭터 중에 현재 전망대에 있는 여성이 있나요?" 반면에 "나이", "역할", "숫자", "룸"과 같은 더 다양한 카드 세트를 가지고 있으면 다음과 같은 더 자세한 질문을 할 수 있다: "당신의 중년 승무원은 현재 몇 명이나 타고 있습니까?능숙하게 질문을 하면 형사는 나머지 플레이어들에게 너무 많은 단서를 주지 않고 용의자 목록에서 더 많은 캐릭터를 제거할 수 있습니다.

승자는 도둑을 먼저 알아보는 형사입니다!

This was supposed to be a tranquil cruise across the Atlantic on board the ship MS Batory. The promise of an unforgettable trip from Gdynia to New York attracted onto the ship's deck the most prominent personas, who wished to take part in the adventure of their lives. No one suspected that the scenes taken straight from the bestselling crime novels will soon unfold aboard the legendary transatlantic ship. Audacious theft of the countess Pawlicka's priceless jewels has shaken both the passengers and crew members alike. However the most shocking fact is undeniable truth that the thief is hidden among them...

MS Batory is a deduction game, which in innovatory way makes use of three-dimensional game board. The players take a role of detectives, and their task will be to identify the thief as quickly as possible. Each character from among thirteen suspects has a set of unique features - gender, age and a role. The players will ask each other questions, based on which they'll be able to determine the innocence of the suspects. At the beginning of the game, one of the cards which represents characters will be randomly selected and put aside - this character is a thief. The rest of the remaining cards will be distributed among the detectives.

The player's round consists of the two phases:

1. Movement Phase

The players move characters around the deck of MS Batory. They have at their disposal a three-dimensional ship, which consists of several dozen rooms, located on the three separate decks. During this phase, the Players will move characters and perform different tasks - like for example: "Meet up with the member of the crew" or "Go to the observation deck". By performing those actions they will gain question cards, which are used later during investigation phase. Characters need to be moved around the ship so that current task is completed as many times as possible. All the while it has to be remembered, that arrangement created by character's placement can hinder or help when it is time for asking questions in investigation phase.

2. Investigation Phase

During movement phase, the players had gained question cards. Each of these cards contains one trait - age, gender, role, number, room or deck. Using these cards, the player will formulate a single question, which he will ask to another detective. This question can be of any kind, but it has to be based upon the question cards at a player's disposal.

For example, when in possession of cards: "gender" and "deck" the player can ask another detective "Are there any women among your characters which are currently on the observation deck?" On the other hand, having a more varied set of cards like "age", "role", "number" and "room" allows for asking more detailed questions such as: "How many of your middle aged crew members are currently in the cabin?" Skillfully asked question allows the detective to eliminate further characters from his list of suspects, without giving away too many clues to the rest of the players.

The winner is the detective who first identifies the thief!
