신코 데 마요(CINCO DE MAYO)는 막시밀리안 황제가 이끄는 프랑스군과 멕시코 공화국군이 주요 도시 푸에블라를 점령하기 위해 벌이는 전투로, 멕시코 국경일인 5월 5일을 기념하게 된 전투이다.

CINCO는 MEN OF IRON 시스템에서 사용되었던 오래된 BSO 시스템의 화력 지향 버전인 LINE OF FIRE와 East-WEST에 사용되었던 것과 동일한 시스템을 다소 다른 초점을 가지고 사용할 것이다. 전투 자체는 제2 주아브스, 피조 드 모렐리오 대대, 샤세우르스 드 모렐리오와 함께 매우 흥미롭고 다채로운 지형을 사용한다.아프리케, 오아하카 랜서스 등. 특별한 규칙은 기병 창기 돌격, 정사각형 대형, 참호의 초기 사용, 포병 탄약을 포함한다.

BSO 게임을 해본 사람에게는 대부분의 규칙과 메커니즘이 꽤 친숙할 것이지만, 모두 좋은 시대적 풍미를 가지고 있다.

CINCO의 게임 시간은 평균 2-3시간, 때로는 더 짧으며 규칙은 9페이지에 불과합니다.

CINCO DE MAYO is a game on the battle between a division of French troops in the army of Emperor Maximilian and those of the Republican forces of Mexico for control of the key city of Puebla, a battle that led to the Mexican national holiday honoring its date, May 5 (1862).

CINCO will use the same system as was used for both LINE OF FIRE and EAST-WEST, a firepower oriented version of the time-honored BSO system used in the MEN OF IRON system, with somewhat different focus. The battle itself uses some very interesting, colorful terrain, along with the usual units with the evocative names: 2nd Zouaves, the Fijo de Morelio Battalion, Chasseurs d’Affrique, the Oaxaca Lancers, etc. Special rules cover cavalry lancer charges, square formation, a rather early use of trenches, and artillery ammo.

Most of the rules and mechanics will be quite familiar to anyone who has played BSO games, but all with a nice period flavor.

Playing time for CINCO has averaged 2-3 hours, sometimes less, and the rules are only 9 pages.
