이탈리아 전통 게임인 스코파에서 영감을 받은 쇼코바는 두 명에서 네 명의 플레이어가 손에 들고 카드놀이를 하며 테이블에서 보석 카드를 모으는 카드게임이다. (쇼코바는 일반적으로 4명의 선수로 구성되어 있다.) 40장의 카드 데크는 27개의 사파이어, 9개의 루비, 3개의 에메랄드, 1개의 다이아몬드로 구성되어 있다.

라운드를 시작할 때, 각 플레이어는 손에 3장의 카드를 받고, 4장의 카드를 테이블 위에 올려놓는다. 차례가 되면, 한 장의 카드를 사용해야 한다. 만약 이 카드의 값이 테이블 위의 카드와 같거나 테이블 위에 있는 두 개 이상의 카드의 합계일 경우, 플레이어는 카드와 함께 이 카드들을 모아야 한다. 테이블에 있는 카드를 모두 가져가면 보너스 포인트로 보석을 받는다.

모든 플레이어가 3장의 카드를 플레이한 후 덱에서 3장의 카드를 더 받지만 새로운 카드는 테이블에 추가되지 않는다. 플레이어가 데크 전체를 통과하면 게임이 종료되고 5점(템)이 배부된다. 다이아몬드를 수집한 플레이어, 사파이어, 에메랄드, 루비를 가장 많이 수집한 플레이어, 그리고 카드를 가장 많이 수집한 플레이어에게 각각 하나씩 주어진다. 동점이 발생할 경우, 아무도 포인트를 모으지 않습니다. 먼저 11개의 보석을 수집한 플레이어가 승리합니다.

Inspired by the traditional Italian game of Scopa, Shokoba is a card game in which two to four players play cards from their hands to collect jewel cards from the table. (With four players, Shokoba is typically played in teams.) The forty-card deck consists of 27 sapphires, 9 rubies, 3 emeralds and 1 diamond.

At the start of a round, each player receives three cards in hand, and four cards are placed face-up on the table. On a turn, a player must play one card. If the value of this card equals a card on the table or is the sum of two or more cards on the table, that player must collect these cards, along with the card played; if not, the card is placed face-up on the table. If a player takes all the cards on the table, he receives a gem as a bonus point.

After all players have played their three cards, they receive three more cards from the deck but no new cards are added to the table. Once players have gone through the entire deck, the game ends and five points (gems) are handed out: One to the player who collected the diamond; one each to the player who collected the most sapphires, emeralds or rubies; and one to the player who collected the most cards. In the event of ties, no one collects a point. The first player to collect eleven gems wins.
