1944년 9월 마켓가든 작전의 극적인 사건을 재현하는 추축국 및 연합군 같은 전략 게임입니다. 크고 좁은 지도판은 네이메겐이 에인트호벤에서 아른험까지의 지역을 나타낸다. 유닛은 보병, 탱크, 포병을 나타내는 플라스틱 조각으로, 13개의 중요한 플라스틱 다리가 포함되어 있다. 거의 모든 다리가 성공의 디딤돌이다. 그리고 모든 다리는 폭파될 수 있다.

게임의 목적은 아른험에 도착해 영국 파라스와 접촉하는 것이다. 시간이 제한되어 있고 연합군이 아른험에 제시간에 도착하지 못하면 페라스는 망하고 독일 정예군의 손쉬운 표적이 된다!

규칙은 짧고 간단하다: 게임은 전략에 초점을 맞추고, 다른 것은 없다.

게임 맵에는 게임을 하는 데 필요한 모든 정보가 있습니다. 규칙을 한 번 읽으면 더 이상 찾을 필요가 없다. (거의) 모든 정보가 지도에 있습니다.

전투는 10면체 색 부호 주사위를 사용하여 해결된다. 따라서 운은 따르기 마련이지만 적당한 수준이다.

좋은 전술은 임무를 완수하기 위해 최적의 유닛 조합을 필요로 한다.
부대마다 전장에 따라 각각 장단점이 있다. 선수들은 어떤 단위를 어디에, 언제 사용할지 현명하게 선택해야 한다.

An Axis & Allies like strategy game reliving the dramatic events of operation Market-Garden in September 1944. A large narrow mapboard represents the area from Eindhoven by Nijmegen to Arnhem. Units are plastic pieces representing infantry, tanks and artillery; 13 important plastic bridges are included. Almost every bridge is a stepping-stone to success. And every bridge can be blown.

The purpose of the game is to reach Arnhem and make contact with the British paras. The time frame is restricted and if the Allied player doesn't reach Arnhem on time, the paras are doomed and an easy target for the German elite forces!

The RULES are short and simple: the game focusses on strategy, and nothing else.

The game map has all the necessary information needed to play the game. Once you've read the rules once, there's no need to look up things anymore. (almost) Every bit of information is on the map.
No looking up hit probabilities, defense factors, or attack factors in rows and columns. No measuring with rulers. Just roll the dice.

Combat is resolved with the use of ten-sided color coded dice: so there's some luck involved, but a reasonable level.

Good tactics require the use of an optimal mix of units to get the job done.
Each kind of unit has its specific strength and weakness, depending on the battleground. Players should choose wisely which units to use where and when.
In this game the players don't get to choose the casualties themselves: a roll with the dice reveals the distribution of the hits. The FOG OF WAR is simulated by distributing the hits at random. In this way you are never totally in control: you plan your strategies, you work out plans, you anticipate as much as you can, but the outcome is never, ever perfect. With "Arnhem'44" both players get a much more 'realistic' game experience playing this game.
