매직 더 개더링 2011 한국 선수권 8강 덱 리스트

안녕하세요. 8월 6일부터 7일까지 이틀간 서울 상암동 DMS 빌딩에서 매직 더 개더링 2011 한국 선수권 대회가 열렸습니다. 여기에는 국내 랭킹 75위까지의 유저들과 최근 2개월간 주요 샵을 돌며 이루어진 한국 선수권 예선전(National Qualify)의 각 대회에서 2위까지의 성적을 거둔 12명의 유저들이 초청되었으며 이 가운데 개인 사정 등으로 불참한 유저를 빼면 총 72명의 유저들이 열띤 경합을 펼쳤습니다. 오늘은 12라운드로 벌어진 치열한 예선을 뚫고 8강에 진출한 유저들의 덱 리스트를 공개합니다.

조정우님의 덱은 스플린터 트윈 콤보덱입니다. 이 스타일의 덱으로는 유일한 8강 진출자였고 최종 순위는 3위였습니다. 키 카드를 Memoricide로 털려 패색이 짙었으나 남은 유일한 승리 수단인 Wurmcoil Engine을 Postmortem Lunge로 무덤에서 꺼내는 처절한 플레이를 3~4위전에서 선보였으며 이 경기는 2011 한국선수권 대회 최고의 명경기라 할 수 있습니다.

장태진님의 덱은 발라쿳 램프덱입니다. 워낙 강력한 덱이기에 모두들 발라쿳에 대비하는 덱 조정을 하였고 결과적으로 8강에 진출한 발라쿳 유저는 장태진님뿐이었습니다. 하지만 우승을 해서 발라쿳의 강력함을 증명했네요. 발라쿳 램프덱은 극초반 빠른 속공덱에게 밀리는 것을 막고 경우에 따라 상대 플레이어의 생명력을 조금 깎기 위해 적색 번 주문을 조금 넣는 것이 보통인데 이 덱에는 그런 카드가 Pyroclasm 한 종류뿐이라는 것을 알 수 있습니다. I Love Pyroclasm이라는 덱 이름의 유래는 이 덱에서 Pyroclasm이 얼마나 중요한가를 잘 나타낸다 하겠습니다.

김경수님의 덱은 Birthing Pod을 키 카드로 생물을 바꿔가며 싸우는 이른바 Birthing Pod덱입니다. 이번 8강에 이 스타일의 덱을 쓰는 유저가 3명이나 있었던 것이 이변이라면 이변일 수 있는데요. 김경수님의 덱은 다채로움에 있어서는 그 누구도 따를 수 없을 겁니다. 엄선된 23종의 생물을 보면 정말 경악할 수 밖에 없죠. 23종의 생물이 들어가는 덱이 다시 스탠더드에서 짱 먹을 날이 올까요?

8강에 진입안 유일한 BR 뱀파이어 김상은님, 최종 성적은 4위입니다. 모노레드나 템퍼드 스틸 등 다른 공격 성향의 빠른 덱들이 모두 8강 진입에 실패했기에 더욱 빛나 보이는 성적이라 생각합니다. 3~4위전에서는 사이드에 1장 들어간 Memoricide가 적시에 터져서 상대의 콤보 키 카드를 봉인하여 명승부의 한 장면을 만들었죠.
