후원은 72개의 새로운 카드와 5개의 어젠다(아래 참조)를 추가한 레이스 포 갤럭시(Race for the Galaxy)의 비공식적인 맞춤형 확장이다.

코어 게임으로의 단독 확장이 되도록 설계된 후원은 플레이어들이 원래의 확장 호의 목표나 프레스티지와 유사한 방식으로 전략을 재고하도록 강제하는 어젠다 시스템을 도입한다.

매 경기가 시작될 때마다 어젠다 2개를 무작위로 선택해 승점에 해당하는 가변 번호의 페이버트 토큰(선수 수 기준)이 채워진다. 플레이어는 어젠다 키와 일치하는 카드(예: 반란군 카드 또는 외계인 카드)를 재생함으로써 이러한 Favorite 토큰을 획득합니다. 토큰이 더 이상 남아 있지 않으면 어젠다가 활성화돼 플레이어들은 축적된 페이버 토큰을 고유한 혜택을 위해 사용할 수 있다.

어젠다 시스템 외에도, 후원은 부정적인 전체 군대로만 정착할 수 있는 평화로운 세계, VP 칩을 사용할 수 있는 힘, 그리고 많은 "을 포함한 몇 가지 독특한 기계들을 포함한다.Intel" 상대의 테이블라우와 액션 선택에 따라 혜택을 부여하는 파워입니다.

Patronage is an unofficial, custom expansion for Race for the Galaxy, which adds 72 new cards and five Agendas (see below).

Designed to be a standalone expansion to the core game, Patronage introduces an Agenda system that will force players to reconsider their strategy, in a similar manner to Goals or Prestige from the original expansion arc.

At the start of each game, two Agendas are chosen at random and stocked with a variable number of Favor tokens (based on the number of players), which are equivalent to victory points. Players earn these Favor tokens by playing cards which match the Agenda key (e.g, Rebel worlds, or Alien cards). When no more tokens remain, the Agenda activates, allowing players to spend any accumulated Favor tokens for unique benefits.

In addition to the Agenda system, Patronage includes a handful of unique mechanics, including peaceful worlds which can only be settled with a negative total military, powers that let you spend VP chips, and a number of "Intel" powers which grant benefits based on your opponent's tableau and action selection.
