플레이어들은 3막 스토리로 진행되는 게임에서 이 업적을 재현합니다. 먼저 6명의 중요한 인물 중 1명의 후원을 받기 위해 숨겨진 땅의 증거를 가지고 있고 그곳에 갈 계획인 사람들을 대표하는 카드를 작성합니다. 둘째, 스폰서의 자원을 사용하여 여행에 필요한 물품과 승무원을 나타내는 카드를 작성합니다. 마지막으로, 위험한 바다를 항해하며 "을 발견하세요.'위험의 땅'을 인용합니다. '카드의 손'을 이용해 항해 비용을 지불합니다.

게임플레이는 게임의 스테이지, 항해 중 발생하는 무작위 비용, 항해 세그먼트를 완료함으로써 얻는 포인트에 따라 다양한 종류의 도움을 제공하는 다중 사용 카드 데크를 중심으로 이루어진다. 이 게임은 위험의 나라에 가장 먼저 가기 위한 경주이지만, 항해 난이도와 필기 일지(숨겨진 득점 카드)의 질에 따라 점수가 매겨진다.

이 게임은 2명에서 6명의 플레이어가 함께 플레이할 수 있다.

Lost to history, a new land in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean was discovered by Portuguese sailor Raimundo Peres da Costa at the cusp of the 14th century. The process of merely planning and gaining support to make such a risk-filled journey was a difficult path of its own. Yet, in securing the sponsorship of beloved Queen Isabel of Portugal, Raimundo was able to get the supplies and crew needed to accomplish his dream.

Players recreate this accomplishment in a game that plays out as a 3-act story. First, draft cards representing people who have evidence of the hidden land and plans to get there, in order to gain sponsorship from 1 of 6 important figures. Second, use the resources from your sponsor to draft cards representing the supplies and crew needed to make the journey. Finally, sail the treacherous seas to discover the "Land of Danger" by using your hand of cards to pay for the costs of the voyage.

Gameplay is centered around a deck of multi-use cards that will provide different types of help, depending on the stage of the game, random costs incurred while sailing, and the points gained by completing segments of the voyage. While the game is a race to be first to get to the Land of Danger, points are scored along the way for the difficulty of the voyage and the quality of written journals (hidden scoring cards).

The game is playable solo, and also with 2 to 6 players.
