검은수염 보물을 위한 사냥(Hunt for the Blackbeard's Treasure)은 가족 친화적인 게임으로, 플레이어가 검은수염의 숨겨진 보물로 추정되는 해머헤드 섬으로 출항하기 위해 보드를 돌며 자원을 축적해야 한다.
일단 그곳에 가면, 그들은 자신들이 선택한 보물 지도를 따라 섬을 돌며, 지도에 보물 상자를 파헤치고 보물을 발견하고 게임에서 이긴 행운이 있는지 알아낸다.

Description from the designer:'

The Hunt for Blackbeard's Treasure is a family friendly game where players have to roll dice and move around the board to accumulate resources (buying & stealing from other players) in order to leave harbour and set sail to Hammerhead Island (the supposed resting place of Blackbeard's hidden treasure).
Once there, they follow their own chosen treasure map around the island to where the map states that they can now dig up the treasure chest and find out if they were lucky to discover the treasure and win the game.
