플레이어는 노란색 질문 카드 1장과 객관식 답안 3개를 읽어 번갈아 심판이 된다.

다른 선수들은 그들의 A-B-C 답안지 중 하나를 엎드린 채로 10초 동안 응답할 수 있다.

플레이어부터 심판까지 왼쪽에서 시계 방향으로 진행하며, 각 플레이어는 심판에게 답을 말하지 않고 문제를 맞췄다고 설득한다. 그들은 비록 그들이 정답을 알지 못한다 하더라도 어떻게 혹은 왜 그들이 정답을 알고 있는지에 대한 설득력 있는 설명을 내놓아야 한다.

모든 사람이 자신의 사건을 변론한 후, 판사는 두 장의 블랙카드를 들고 문제를 맞췄다고 생각하는 사람에게는 브릴리언트 카드를, 틀렸다고 생각하는 사람에게는 BS 카드를 준다.

브릴리언트 카드를 받은 플레이어는 자동으로 2점, BS 카드를 받은 플레이어는 0점을 획득합니다.

심판은 정답(굵게 강조 표시)을 발표하고 다른 선수에게 카드를 공개하도록 요청합니다. 브릴리언트나 BS카드를 받지 않은 선수가 먼저 가고, 그 다음에 BS카드를 받은 선수가 나옵니다. Brilliant 카드를 받은 사람이 마지막으로 답을 공개합니다. 문제를 맞힌 플레이어 한 명당 1점을 얻습니다.

심판은 정확한 브릴리언트 예측마다 1점, 정확한 BS 예측마다 1점을 받는다. 하지만 조심하세요. 예측이 틀릴 때마다 심판은 1점을 잃는다.

각자가 동일한 횟수의 심판 기회를 가질 때까지 플레이를 계속한다. 게임 종료 시 가장 많은 점수를 획득한 플레이어가 승리합니다. (제시되는 게임 시간은 1시간입니다.)

Brilliant Or BS? is a 4-6 player party game for know-it-alls and big fat liars! Players read multiple choice trivia questions and earn points by predicting which of the other players guessed correctly before answers are revealed. Can you tell when your friends are BSing? There are six different categories of trivia including Sports, Entertainment, Food & Drink, Science & Technology, Geography and History.

Players take turns being the Judge by reading one yellow question card and the three multiple choice answers.

The other players have 10 seconds to respond by placing one of their A-B-C answer cards face down.

Starting with the player to the Judge’s left and going clockwise, each player tries to convince the Judge that they got the question right without saying the answer. They must come up with a convincing explanation as to how or why they know the correct answer...even if they don’t.

After everyone pleads their case, the Judge grabs the two black cards and gives the Brilliant card to the person they think got the question right and the BS card to the person they think got it wrong.

The player that receives the Brilliant card automatically earns 2 points and the player who receives the BS card earns 0 points.

The Judge announces the correct answer (highlighted in bold) before asking the other players to reveal their cards. The players who did NOT receive a Brilliant or BS card go first, followed by the player who received the BS card. The person who received the Brilliant card reveals their answer last. Each player that gets the question right earns 1 point.

The Judge receives 1 point for each correct Brilliant prediction and 1 point for each correct BS prediction. But beware. For each wrong prediction, the Judge loses 1 point.

Play continues until each person has had the chance to be the Judge the same number of times. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins. (Suggested length of game play is 1 hour.)
