This is a game of hidden roles.
Each player receives a role at the start of the game, which must be kept secret. While most of the players are hotel staff, trying to unmask the villains, the few villains want to remain incognito and generate doubts in the other players.
In addition to a role, each player is dealt a hand of random cards, which can contain traps, Scooby Snacks, monsters and clues. In the complete deck there are more monsters than other types of cards.

On your turn, you must choose one of the characters from the Scooby-Doo gang to carry out their action, which ranges from simply changing cards in your hand to making players put down unopened cards on the table.
