The game features two variants. In both variants players are dealt 15 mess cards and the goal is the get rid of all of them.

In the first variant 10 item tokens are drawn from the bag and put into the box. Players look and try to memorise them. After a while the box is closed and each player displays 3 of their mess cards face up. Each card shows two items. Now, each player mark each item on their cards with answer tokens to tell which item is present in the closed box and which is not. After that the box is opened and the players check it they remembered correctly. Every card with two correct answer tokens is discarded and the first player to discard all of their cards wins.

In the second variant all of the item tokens are put into the box and then each player displays 3 of their mess cards face down in front of them. One player shouts START and then everyone flips their mess cards and try to pick the right items from the box. When any player fills two of their mess cards or is unable to do so they start to count 10 seconds after which all other players stop. Every card with two correct items is discarded and the first player to discard all of their cards wins.
