각 카드는 두 개의 글자가 서로 반대 방향을 향하는 가운데 눈에 띄는 분할선으로 독특하게 디자인되어 있습니다. 각각의 글자는 글자 옆에 명확하게 보이는 고유한 점 표시가 있다.

스펠다운은 여러 가지 방법으로 연주될 수 있지만, 모든 스펠다운 변주의 독특한 기초는 수직적인 방식으로 단어를 만들어 내는 것이다. 단어들은 하나의 글자를 숨기고 원하는 글자를 노출시킴으로써 카드의 반을 다른 카드 아래로 미끄러지게 함으로써 생성된다.

Speldown is America\'s newest and most exciting word game. It is also the most versatile and challenging word game ever devised. Any age that can create worjs can enjoy Speldown (10 to 100 years old). Although 2, 3, or 4 people can play Speldown, the solitaire version is probably the most unique and challenging of all. Other than a crossword puzzle, what other word game can you play solitaire? Whatever version you like, you\'ll find that Speldown is really fun as well as being educational.

Rules (taken directly from the rule booklet):

Each card is uniquely designed with two letters facing in opposite directions with a prominant center dividing line. Each letter has its own point designation plainly visible next to the letter.

Speldown can be played in many ways, but the unique basis of all Speldown variations is to create words in a vertical manner. Words are created by sliding one half of a card under another card thereby hiding one letter and exposing the desired letter.

The playing rack included is added as an aid to hold the cards in place while playing the 2-person and 4-person games. The playing rack has no practical use in playing a 3-player or solitaire game.

In solitaire mode, you must complete eight words vertically, plus, the combined point total of al the letters must be 400 points are more.

In multi-player modes, players take turns drawing cards and building words. Points are scored as each word is created, therefore, when words are extended the letters can score multiple times. 4-player mode utilizes two teams of two players.
