만화 시대: 골든이어즈(Golden Years)는 만화의 황금기(1938-1956) 동안 가상의 만화책 출판사 역할을 하는 노동자 배치 보드 게임이다.

각 라운드에서 선수들은 차례로 4개의 미플을 배치해야 한다. 그들은 게시 작업이라고 불리는 6개의 공간 중 4개를 선택할 수 있습니다. 어떤 순서로든 수행할 수 있고 6가지 특정 플레이어 행동(채용, 개발, 아이디어, 인쇄, 판매, 로열티)으로 이어지는 총 6가지 퍼블리싱 작업이 있습니다. 플레이어가 만화책을 인쇄할 때 금전적 자원($) + 2개의 동일한 토큰 아이디어와 디스플레이를 사용하여 지불해야 하며, 테이블 위에 만화책 표지와 그 아래에는 작가와 아티스트 카드를 모두 보여야 한다. (지도에서 주문을 수집하는 데 필요한) comics’ 값은 창작물(예술가 + 작가)의 가치를 합친 것입니다. 각각의 크리에이티브 카드는 1에서 3 사이의 값을 가집니다.

경기는 5라운드 동안 진행됩니다. 이 게임의 목적은 가장 많은 팬을 축적하고 만화를 출판하여 돈을 벌며 최고의 만화책 포트폴리오를 만드는 것이다. 팬을 모으는 방법에는 크게 세 가지가 있습니다.

특정 장르를 최초로 출판하고 전문적으로 다루는 것.
전문 창의력이 있는 만화책을 출판하는 것.
지도에서 주문을 수집합니다.


게임 내내 팬 차트는 만화에 의해 누적된 팬 수를 추적하고 매 라운드 종료 시 플레이어’ 순위에 따라 승리 점수를 부여한다. 마지막 라운드에서는 팬 수가 승리 포인트로 환산된다. 대신 축적된 돈을 4로 나눈다. 승리 포인트는 다음 세 가지 방법으로 게임이 끝날 때 모을 수 있다.

Age of Comics: The Golden Years is a worker-placement board game in which you play the role of a fictional comic-book publishing company during the golden age of comics (circa 1938-1956).

In each round the players, in turn, must position 4 meeples (workers called editors). They can choose 4 out of 6 spaces, called publishing tasks. There are 6 publishing tasks in total that can be performed in any order and lead to 6 specific player actions: hire, develop, ideas, print, sales, royalties. When a player prints a comic book she must pay using monetary resources ($) + 2 identical token ideas and display, on the table, the comic book cover and, underneath, show both a writer and an artist card. The comics’ value (needed for collecting orders on the map) will be the sum of the value of its creatives (artist + writer). Each creative card has a value ranging from 1 to 3.

The game lasts 5 rounds. The objective of the game is to accumulate the highest number of fans, make money by publishing comics and create the best portfolio of comic-books. There are three main ways to accumulate fans:

being the first to publish a specific genre and specialising in it;
publishing comic books with specialised creatives;
collecting orders on the map.


Throughout the game a fan chart will track the number of fans accumulated by the comics and will award victory points based on the players’ ranking at the end of every round. In the last round, the number of fans are converted into victory points. The money accumulated is instead divided by 4. Victory points can also be collected at the end of the game in this three methods:

publishing the same genre of comics;
publishing different genres comic;
publishing comic-books valued 6.
